Amit Shah to hold rallies and roadshow ahead of fourth phase Bengal polling

Kolkata, May 10  , 2024 : Ahead of fourth phase polling in West Bengal, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to hold two
rallies and a road show in Nadia, Birbhum and Bardhaman on Friday for the BJP candidates, barely five days after he held a series of meetings on Sunday and Monday last in the state, BJP sources said. After completing a rally at Khunti in Jharkhand, Shah would arrive in the state and hold his rally in Ranaghat Lok Sabha seat (Nadia) for BJP candidate Jagannath Sarkar around 3 PM.
Thereafter he would proceed to Birbhum and hold a party’s open rally in favour of candidate Debtanu Bhattacharya at about 4.30 PM and then would go by chopper to the industrial Asansol constituency to attend a roadshow in favour of former Union minister Surinder Singh Ahluwalia around 5.30 PM before returning to New Delhi. West Bengal goes to fourth phase polling for eight Lok Sabha seats of Ranaghat, Krishnanagar, Bardhaman-Purba, Durgapur-Bardhaman, Asansol, Bolpur and Birbhum.
Shah, who came several times for electioneering, on Sunday held an organizational meeting and the following day addressed a couple of rallies in which he appealed to the voters to return at least 35 BJP seats out of 42 in the seven phases of polling. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the face of BJP’s electoral fortunes, will come here on Sunday to hold at least four rallies for May 20.
