Minor Girl Murdered After Sexual Assault in Dayalpur; Accused Arrested Following Dramatic Chase

New Delhi, June 07 – A horrifying crime shook North East Delhi’s Dayalpur area as a minor girl was allegedly sexually assaulted and murdered. The incident was reported to the police at approximately 8:41 PM, prompting an immediate response.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that the victim had already been rushed to JPC Hospital by her father, where she was declared brought dead. Doctors observed visible injuries on her face and suspected sexual assault. Crime and forensic teams were deployed to examine the scene, and a case was registered under relevant sections of the law.

Given the severity of the crime, multiple police teams worked tirelessly to track down the accused. After extensive efforts, including CCTV analysis and technical surveillance, the suspect, identified as Naushad (28), resident of Nehru Vihar, Dayalpur, was located and arrested on the Hapur-Bulandshehar road in Uttar Pradesh.

While being transported back to Delhi, Naushad requested a restroom break near Jheel Park, PS Welcome. Seizing the moment, he attacked a police officer with a hidden blade, injuring Constable Amit Mann before attempting to flee. In response, SI Kaushik Ghosh fired a warning shot, but the accused continued his escape attempt. A second, carefully aimed shot struck Naushad in the leg, allowing officers to overpower him.

Both the injured constable and the accused were taken to JPC Hospital for treatment. A separate case for attempted murder and assault on police personnel is being registered against Naushad at PS Welcome.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to gather evidence and ensure justice for the victim.
