PICK POCKETER ARRESTED WITH RECOVERY OF 05 STOLEN MOBILES, BY THE STAFF OF PS BINDAPUR, DWARKA DISTRICT.

New Delhi, 10 March 2025: The team of PS Bindapur was tasked to work on theft cases of PS Bindapur. A dedicated team of police officials of PS Bindapur, comprising HC Neeraj, HC Mohit, HC Rabish, Ct. Rahul and Ct. Rajesh Dagar under the supervision of Insp. Darshan Lal, SHO/Bindapur and overall supervision of Sh. Ishan Bhardwaj, ACP/Dabri, was constituted to solve theft & pick-pocketing cases of the area and nab such active criminals.

Accordingly, the team visited each and every spot of street crime i.e. MV theft and theft of the area of PS Bindapur. CCTV footages of the spot as well as nearby places were analysed by the team before and after the incident. Local informers were also roped in the area to get intelligence and information regarding such active criminals in the area.

On 04.03.2025, at about 12:40 AM, when the team was present on patrolling at Uttam Nagar East Metro Station. A secret information was received by the team regarding one pick-pocketer coming near Community Centre, Old Pankha Road, Uttam Nagar, Delhi to sell stolen mobiles.

The team reached near Community Centre, Old Pankha Road, Uttam Nagar, Delhi and laid a trap. At about 01:00 AM, one suspect boy was seen from main Najafgarh road Uttam Nagar East Metro Station towards C1 Janakpuri.
He was identified by the informer. The team signalled him to stop. He saw the police party & started turning back and escape but the team overpowered and apprehended him. On his cursory search, 05 mobiles were recovered from his possession.

On checking records of recovered mobiles, they were found stolen in:-

2) e-FIR No. 80002900/25, U/s-303(2) BNS, PS Bindapur.
3) e- FIR No. 80003525/25, U/s-305 BNS, PS Bindapur.
4) e- FIR No. 80048310/24, U/s-379 IPC, PS Bindapur.
5) e- FIR No. 80116609/24, U/s-303(2) BNS, PS Bindapur.

On interrogation, his name and address was revealed as Roshan Kumar S/o Raj Kumar, R/o Matiyala, PS Bindapur, Delhi, aged 22 yrs. Accordingly, accused Roshan Kumar S/o Raj Kumar was arrested in case e-FIR No. 80005191/25, U/s-303(2) BNS, PS Bindapur.

On detailed interrogation, he disclosed that he had committed pick-pocketing/theft of mobiles at metro stations and used to sell stolen mobiles to passers-by.

 ACCUSED PROFILE:-

Roshan Kumar S/o Raj Kumar, R/o Matiyala, PS Bindapur, DelhI, aged-22 yrs. He is habitual drug addict. He has 2 previous involvement of theft.

 RECOVERY: – 05 stolen mobile phones.
