Ayodhya, UP, Oct 30 — Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath declared that Ayodhya has become a significant center of attraction for the world, particularly during the first Deepotsav celebrated after the consecration of Ram Lalla at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi. This monumental occasion, marking the culmination of a 500-year wait, has drawn global attention to the ancient city. The grand event saw a remarkable feat as a world record was set by lighting 2.8 million lamps during the Deepotsav celebrations. Out of these, 2.5 million lamps were illuminated along the 55 ghats of Ram Ki Paidi, creating a breathtaking spectacle. In addition, a record was established by 1,100 Vedic Acharyas performing the Saryu Aarti in unison, further elevating the significance of this year’s festivities.

Addressing the audience at the eighth edition of Deepotsav at Shri Ram Katha Park in Nayaghat, CM Yogi Adityanath expressed his joy, stating, “This is truly a moment of celebration for us. Eight years ago, the voices of saints and Ram devotees echoed with one demand: ‘Yogi ji, get the temple constructed.’ Thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, we laid the foundation stone of the Ram temple on August 5, 2020.”

Yogi highlighted the profound significance of this year’s celebration, noting, “This year has been nothing short of miraculous for Ayodhya. Many people made sacrifices for Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, and their determination has now borne fruit. On January 22, 2024, Shri Ram Lalla was ceremoniously placed in his Ayodhya Dham.”
