Bhopal , 10 July 2024 , A significant announcement for tribal students was made under the chairmanship of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The Council of Ministers approved the rationalization of scholarship rates for students in hostels, ashrams, and community welfare centers run under the Free, Nomadic, and Semi-nomadic Castes Welfare Department. The monthly scholarship amounts were set at Rs. 1230 to Rs. 1550 for boys and Rs. 1270 to Rs. 1590 for girls, as approved by the Scheduled Caste Welfare/Tribal Affairs Department.
In the same meeting, the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly approved a budget of Rs. 23.87 crore. This budget includes funding for the National e-Vidhan Application (Neva) under the Government of India’s Digital India programme, aimed at reducing paper use and uniting all legislatures on a single platform. The funding for Neva will be split, with 60 percent provided by the Government of India and 40 percent by the State Government.
Additionally, the Council of Ministers approved a budget of Rs. 9271.96 crore for the Narmada Valley Development Department to invite tenders for seven projects, including the Sondwa Lift Micro Irrigation Project, Nivali Lift Micro Irrigation Project, Sendhwa Lift Micro Irrigation Project, Maheshwar Janpav Lift Micro Irrigation Project, Motadev Integrated Micro Irrigation Project, and Ma Rewa Lift Project. Administrative approval was also given for the Rs. 46 crore Bokaro Micro Irrigation Project, which will irrigate 3310 hectares and benefit farmers in 11 villages of Rampura Naikin taluk.
Furthermore, the Council of Ministers decided to purchase a Challenger 3500 jet aircraft from the lowest tendering organization under the “Aircraft/Helicopter Purchase and Sale Rules for Government of Madhya Pradesh, 2019.”
