Agartala (Tripura) [India], July 6 : Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha paid tribute to Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his 123rd birth anniversary, recognizing his significant contributions to the nation. The ceremony, held at the BJP State Karyalay in Agartala, saw heartfelt tributes from various BJP leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP Delhi President Virendraa Sachdeva.
CM Saha praised Dr. Mookerjee as a patriot who dedicated his life to India’s integrity and sovereignty, stating, “‘One Country, One Law, One Nishan and One Chief,’ symbolizes his enduring impact.”
In conjunction with the commemoration, CM Saha inaugurated the State Level Training Programme for Dental Surgeons at Pragna Bhavan. Organized under the National Oral Health Programme, the initiative aims to strengthen Tripura’s oral healthcare system, featuring the introduction of teleconsultation services.
Furthermore, Saha launched user-friendly websites for the Tripura State Dental Council, Agartala Government Dental College, and Indira Gandhi Memorial (IGM) Hospital. These platforms aim to enhance accessibility to healthcare information and services, fostering collaboration among dental professionals, healthcare administrators, and policymakers.
The event underscored Tripura’s commitment to honoring its legacy while advancing healthcare infrastructure to meet modern challenges.
