Faridabad: As part of the Green Faridabad–Clean Faridabad campaign, the City Press Club, Faridabad took a major eco-friendly step by distributing electric scooters to its journalist members at the FIA Auditorium. Haryana Cabinet Minister Vipul Goel present as chief guest and handed over the keys to 17 journalists and even rode an e-scooter himself to spread the message of green mobility and a pollution-free city.

This marked the first phase of a four-stage scooter distribution program. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s media advisor Rajeev Jaitly graced the event as the special guest.

The ceremony also saw the presence of FIA President Raj Bhatia, senior industrialist K.C. Lakhani, former presidents Sunil Gulati and B.R. Bhatia, and R.K. Dhawan. The event began with a tribute to late journalist Shiv Kumar Ojha.

City Press Club President Bijender Bansal, Executive President Navin Dhamija, Treasurer Manoj Mandal, Patron Uttam Raj, and senior journalists Sanjay Kapoor, Sushil Bhatia, Sachin Gaur , Deepak Gautam and P.S. Mata welcomed the dignitaries. General Secretary Rajesh Sharma conducted the program and presented details of the club’s ongoing initiatives.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Vipul Goel praised the City Press Club’s commitment to environmental protection and urged citizens to adopt electric vehicles for a cleaner Faridabad. Media Advisor Rajeev Jaitly also lauded the initiative, calling it a commendable and forward-looking step toward sustainable journalism.

Representatives from the Faridabad Industries Association (FIA) and City Press Club described the event as a milestone in promoting environmental awareness and green transportation.

Concluding the program, President Bijender Bansal said this initiative reflects the club’s dedication to strengthening both journalism and environmental responsibility, adding that similar efforts will continue to encourage cleanliness and green living across the city.
