Alumni Meet 2025: Celebrating the Enduring Legacy of Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Government College, Faridabad

Faridabad, June 7 –The Alumni Association of Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Government College, Faridabad, hosted the grand “Alumni Meet–2025” at the Silver Jubilee Hall, Magpie Hotel, celebrating the enduring legacy, achievements, and strong emotional bonds of its alumni.

The event was organized under the dynamic leadership of Principal Dr. Ruchira Khullar, with Mr. Sandeep Singhal, President of the Alumni Association, and Dr. Deepika Logani, Associate Professor and Program Coordinator, playing key roles in planning and execution. The stage proceedings were seamlessly conducted by Dr. Sunil Sharma, Organizing Secretary, alumnus, and Assistant Professor at Government College, Kheri Gujran.

The program commenced with a traditional welcome ceremony, where alumni were honored with Tilak and dupatta, symbolizing respect and affection. The formal inauguration took place with a ceremonial lamp-lighting by dignitaries and special guests.

Former MLA and alumnus Chaudhary Nain Pal Rawat chaired the event, while Smt. Seema Trikha, also an alumna and former Minister of State for School and Higher Education, Haryana, graced the occasion as a special guest. Office bearers Ms. Simi Vasudev (Secretary) and Mr. Manish Trikha (Treasurer) also marked their presence. In a thoughtful gesture, Principal Dr. Khullar and the Association presented saplings to guests, symbolizing growth and sustainability.

In her welcome address, Dr. Khullar extended heartfelt greetings to all attendees. Mr. Sandeep Singhal emphasized the importance of continuous engagement through digital platforms to strengthen alumni connections.

The cultural segment of the evening added a memorable flavor to the gathering. Performances included tabla and solo singing by current Music Department students, flute by alumnus Mohan Krishna, a Qawwali by alumni Vansh and Meet, and soulful renditions by Mr. Bhupinder Malhotra, Mr. Manish Trikha, and Dr. Sunil Sharma, who performed a musical mashup.

Addressing the gathering, Smt. Seema Trikha lauded the Alumni Association’s initiative and encouraged leveraging technology and social media to broaden the alumni network. Media representatives were also welcomed and honored by the Principal.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Deepika Logani, expressing gratitude to all guests, performers, and organizing team members. A dinner followed, allowing alumni to relive cherished college memories and reflect on the institution’s remarkable journey.

The event’s success was a testament to the tireless efforts of Principal Dr. Ruchira Khullar, Mr. Sandeep Singhal, and Dr. Deepika Logani. “Alumni Meet–2025” truly embodied the college’s rich cultural heritage, strong alumni bonds, and community spirit, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of pride and belonging.
