Ranbir Kapoor Brushes Off Online Trolling Over ‘Ramayana’, Says He Values Those Who Trust His Intentions

Actor says criticism does not bother him, stressing that the opinions of people who care about his work and intentions matter most.

Actor Ranbir Kapoor has responded to the online criticism surrounding his upcoming film Ramayana, saying he prefers to focus on people who value his work, intentions and sincerity rather than being affected by trolling.

Speaking at a recent IIMUN event, Ranbir addressed the criticism that followed the release of the film’s teaser, with aspects such as its music and visual effects (VFX) becoming subjects of online debate.

Referring to the popular Hindi song Kuchh To Log Kahenge, the actor said people will always have opinions and that one should not be bothered by what others say. He added that what matters most is the support of those who genuinely care about an artist’s work, intentions and kindness.

Director Nitesh Tiwari also responded to the criticism, saying the team had given its best to the project. He maintained that if the creators were satisfied with their efforts and had put in 100 per cent, there was little more they could ask for.

Earlier, co-star Yash had urged audiences not to focus on minor flaws in the film’s VFX. At a pre-release event in Hyderabad in October, he praised producer Namit Malhotra for backing the ambitious project and appealed to fans to watch it with an open mind.

Yash also emphasised the importance of supporting projects that aim to take Indian cinema to a global platform, while acknowledging that feedback and criticism could help the team improve.
