Gurugram: The Dr OP Bhalla Foundation organised a blood donation and free health check-up camp at Manav Rachna International School (MRIS), Sector 46, Gurugram, on Saturday in memory of Manav Rachna Educational Institutions founder Dr OP Bhalla. The camp saw 81 units of blood donated, while more than 200 people underwent free health check-ups.
The camp was organised under the guidance of Foundation Vice-Chairman Dr NC Wadhwa, with support from Lions Club Gurugram and local RWAs. Women also participated actively in blood donation.


Teams from Manav Rachna Dental College, physiotherapy, nutrition and psychology departments conducted dental, physical and mental health assessments and provided health advice. Dental treatment was also provided to those requiring it.
A mammography van supported by Rotary Club Gurugram offered free breast cancer screening to 20 women, encouraging early detection and prevention. Lions Club Haryana State Coordinator Lion Mahesh Banga and Gurugram team member Lion KS Dhaka provided special support.
Municipal councillor Pratham Vashisht also visited the camp and encouraged blood donors. Dr NC Wadhwa thanked all those who contributed to the successful organisation of the camp.
