Yogi Adityanath Accuses Opposition of Disrupting UP Assembly Proceedings, Says Public Interests Being Ignored

Yogi Adityanath Assembly remarks on the second day of the Uttar Pradesh Monsoon Session triggered a political debate as the Chief Minister criticised the Opposition for disrupting House proceedings. He accused Samajwadi Party members and other Opposition leaders of avoiding meaningful discussions on public issues and affecting the functioning of the Assembly.

Addressing the House, the Chief Minister said the Assembly provides an important platform for elected representatives to raise issues concerning the people of Uttar Pradesh. He accused the Opposition of avoiding constructive debate and instead creating disruptions that hamper legislative work.

Yogi Adityanath claimed that the conduct of Opposition legislators was against the traditions and dignity of parliamentary democracy. He said that the government had already assured all members that issues raised according to Assembly rules would be discussed and responded to.

The Chief Minister pointed out that the agenda for the session had been decided through discussions among political parties and the Business Advisory Committee. According to him, Opposition members showed little interest in debating legislative matters and proposals related to the supplementary budget.

He said the government believes in detailed discussions and is prepared to respond to every issue brought before the House. However, he alleged that continuous protests by Opposition parties were affecting the smooth functioning of the Assembly.

Yogi Adityanath further stated that democratic institutions can function effectively only through meaningful dialogue and cooperation. He appealed to all members to participate in debates and use the Assembly as a platform for addressing issues concerning the people of the state.
