Ranchi Murder Case: Minor Daughter Held, Boyfriend Among Two Arrested for Mother’s Killing

Ranchi- In a shocking case from Ranchi, police have detained a minor girl and arrested two individuals, including her boyfriend, for the alleged murder of her 50-year-old mother. The victim, identified as Nahida Parveen, was found dead days after the crime, which investigators say was driven by a dispute over money.

The incident came to light after a relative raised suspicion and filed a complaint, prompting police to launch a probe. During the investigation, authorities tracked down the accused, including the boyfriend from Gaya. The minor was also taken into custody for questioning.

According to police officials, the girl allegedly admitted during interrogation that she conspired with her boyfriend and his associates to kill her mother after being refused money. Investigators revealed that the teenager had been spending heavily on her partner and had even transferred a large sum to him, which became a point of conflict at home.

Police said the murder was carried out on April 24, when the victim was allegedly suffocated using a pillow. In an attempt to conceal the crime, the body was buried two days later at a graveyard in the Doranda area.

The case took a crucial turn when authorities exhumed the body in the presence of a magistrate. Injury marks found on the victim’s neck strengthened suspicions of foul play. The remains were subsequently sent to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences for post-mortem examination.

Officials confirmed that further investigation is ongoing to trace other individuals allegedly involved in the crime and to establish the complete sequence of events.
