New Delhi : In furtherance of the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Government of India’s policy of “Zero Tolerance” against drugs, Delhi Police is organizing a week-long Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign titled ‘Nasha – Not Cool’ across Delhi, commencing from April 24, 2026.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has consistently emphasised the need for stringent action against drug trafficking and the eradication of drug abuse from society. In alignment with the national mission of “Nasha Mukt Bharat”, Delhi Police continues to undertake proactive measures under the guidance of Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Shri Taranjit Singh Sandhu, and under the leadership of Shri Satish Golchha, Commissioner of Police, Delhi.
As part of the campaign, a theme song in the form of a Rap—highlighting the harmful effects of drug abuse and encouraging youth to stay away from narcotics—was formally launched today by theSatish Golchha, Commissioner of Police, Delhi at Police Headquarters. The theme song will be disseminated through social media platforms and screened in cinema halls across Delhi during the campaign period to maximise outreach.
The campaign will adopt a comprehensive approach, including social media engagement, radio broadcasts, on-ground awareness activities involving community stakeholders, expert-led podcasts, and sports activities at de-addiction centres. These initiatives aim to sensitise citizens, particularly the youth, about the dangers of drug abuse.
The campaign will formally commence on April 24, 2026, with active participation from school children, who will play a vital role in spreading awareness in society. A pledge-taking ceremony against drug abuse will be conducted on the same day at 10:00 AM in schools across Delhi.
Delhi Police urges all residents to actively participate in and support this initiative to make the campaign a success and contribute towards building a drug-free society.
