Noida – Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Noida International Airport (Jewar) and its Cargo Terminal, as well as lay the foundation stone for the MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) facility, on March 28, 2026. With the objective of ensuring a grand and successful execution of this event, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the Noida International Airport, Jewar, today. He conducted a thorough on-site inspection of the preparations underway for the inauguration ceremony and, following a review meeting with public representatives and senior officials, issued necessary directives.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister examined the route designated for the Prime Minister’s tour and the specific inspection sites. Furthermore, he gathered detailed information regarding the preparations made at all key locations—including the Passenger Terminal, Cargo Terminal, rally venue, parking facilities, various access routes, and the helipad—and issued requisite instructions to the concerned officials. Following the inspection, the Chief Minister convened a review meeting regarding the preparations with public representatives and senior officials in the auditorium located within the Noida International Airport complex. The meeting featured detailed discussions covering the preparations for the airport and cargo terminal inauguration, the MRO foundation stone laying ceremony, the overall event logistics, security arrangements, and operational plans.


The Chief Minister directed all government departments to discharge their respective duties with mutual coordination and to ensure the completion of every task within the stipulated timeframe. He emphasized that, given the anticipated presence of honorable public representatives, distinguished guests, media personnel, representatives from various sectors, and a large number of the general public, the arrangements must be meticulously organized and highly effective. To ensure the event assumes a grand and world-class stature, the Chief Minister directed that extensive branding and publicity campaigns be undertaken to ensure that information regarding the event reaches the widest possible audience.

The Chief Minister issued directives to complete all essential arrangements—including the smooth accessibility of all routes leading to the venue, cleanliness and sanitation, uninterrupted power supply, drinking water facilities, restrooms, security protocols, traffic management, transportation facilities, fire safety measures, and signage—well in advance of the scheduled date. Additionally, he instructed officials to ensure the regular monitoring of all ongoing tasks. He issued directives to ensure adequate arrangements—including mobile toilets, help desks, drinking water, and medical facilities—within the parking areas for the convenience of the crowds arriving from various districts. The Chief Minister further directed that, to assist the public, sufficient personnel—comprising both male and female administrative and police staff, along with volunteers—be deployed across all designated blocks at the event venue, thereby ensuring that no one faces any inconvenience. He emphasized that the timely presence of all attendees at the event must be ensured.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister received a detailed briefing from the administration and police—presented via a PowerPoint presentation—regarding the framework for security arrangements, parking, traffic management, and alternative routes. A comprehensive four-tier security system will be implemented for the event. Present on this occasion were the Minister-in-charge of the district, Brijesh Singh; BJP Regional President Satendra Sisodia; BJP District President Abhishek Sharma; BJP Metropolitan President Mahesh Chauhan; MP Dr. Mahesh Sharma; MLA (Jewar) Dhirendra Singh; MLA (Dadri) Tejpal Nagar; Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) Shrichand Sharma; and Narendra Bhati, along with public representatives from other districts.
