Annual Sports Meet 2026 Organized under the Banner “PFWS Mission Olympics”

New Delhi : The Closing Ceremony of the Annual Sports Meet 2026, organized under the banner “PFWS Mission Olympics,” was held on 7 February 2026 at the New Police Lines Sports Ground, Kingsway Camp, marking the successful conclusion of a competitive three-day sports meet. The ceremony was graced by Satish Golchha, Commissioner of Police, Delhi, as the Chief Guest, and Shri Yogeshwar Dutt, Olympic Bronze Medalist and Padma Shri Awardee, as the Special Guest. The occasion was further honoured by the presence of Smt. Rachna Golchha, President, PFWS, along with distinguished representatives from the Delhi Olympic Association, ONGC, and Indian Oil Corporation (IOC).

The programme included the presentation of trophies and medals to the winners of events held in Athletics, Badminton, Shooting, Wrestling, Basketball, Football, Cricket, and Kabaddi, with enthusiastic participation from hundreds of athletes across Delhi. PFWS athletes delivered an impressive performance, winning 82 medals out of 132, including 32 gold, 26 silver, and 24 bronze medals, along with several team trophies—reflecting their dedication and disciplined training. Addressing the gathering, Shri Satish Golchha congratulated the winners and lauded PFWS for empowering police families through sports.

He emphasized the need to strengthen sports infrastructure and quality coaching to groom athletes for higher levels of competition, including the Olympics. He also noted that interaction with accomplished sportspersons like Yogeshwar Dutt serves as a strong source of inspiration.  Rachna Golchha expressed pride in the athletes’ achievements and thanked the supporting organizations for their continued cooperation.

Motivating the players, Yogeshwar Dutt shared insights from his sporting journey and encouraged young athletes to remain disciplined, focused, and resilient. The ceremony concluded with a group photograph and the release of balloons bearing the “PFWS Mission Olympics” banner, symbolizing unity and the spirit of sportsmanship.
