Modern School Faridabad hosted an exclusive workshop on “Contemporary Trends in Early Childhood Education ” on September 20,2025.The session aimed at equipping Principals of play schools with innovative practices and modern pedagogical approaches that align with the National Education Policy NEP 2020 and global best practices in early childhood education.
The resource person,Mrs. Esha Bakhshi Shaunik, a veteran Educationist and eminent writer highlighted the significance of experiential and play-based learning in the foundational years. Emphasis was laid on child-centered pedagogy, integration of art, music, and storytelling and the use of digital tools to make learning joyful and meaningful.
The session also covered themes like inclusive classrooms, socio-emotional development, life skills and the importance of fostering creativity and critical thinking at an early age.
Principals actively participated in interactive activities, group discussions and case studies, gaining hands-on experience of strategies that can be implemented in their classrooms. The workshop concluded with a reflective session, where educators shared their key learnings and expressed their commitment to nurturing holistic growth in young learners.
The workshop was highly enriching and provided valuable insights into contemporary practices in ECCE reinforcing the schools’ commitment to laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
