Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025 Sets Guinness World Record with Over 3.53 Crore Registrations, Redefining Exam Season Across India

New Delhi, August 4, 2025 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship student engagement initiative, Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC), has achieved a historic milestone by securing a Guinness World Record for the highest number of valid registrations on a citizen engagement platform within a month. The record was granted following an overwhelming response to the 8th edition of the program, which witnessed a staggering 3.53 crore registrations through the MyGov platform, reaffirming its status as one of India’s most impactful education initiatives.

Launched in 2018 by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with MyGov, Pariksha Pe Charcha has become a transformative movement that connects the Prime Minister directly with students, teachers, and parents. It aims to eliminate the stress traditionally associated with exams by turning them into a time for inspiration, motivation, and constructive dialogue. The initiative has grown in popularity over the years, not just for its innovative approach, but also for the personal connection it fosters between India’s youth and its leadership.

The official Guinness World Record certificate was awarded during a formal ceremony in New Delhi. The event saw the presence of key dignitaries, including Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of Electronics and IT Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of State for Electronics and IT Jitin Prasada, Secretary of School Education Sanjay Kumar, and CEO of MyGov Nand Kumarum. Senior officials from the Ministries of Education and Electronics & IT were also present. The certificate was handed over by Rishi Nath, official adjudicator from Guinness World Records.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan praised the initiative for redefining how India approaches examinations. He emphasized that Pariksha Pe Charcha has become a nationwide festival of learning, and the success of PPC 2025 reflects the country’s unified commitment to holistic and inclusive education. He also shared that the 2025 edition of PPC garnered more than 21 crore views across digital and traditional platforms, making it one of the most widely viewed educational events in India’s history.

Echoing similar sentiments, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw described the initiative as a one-of-a-kind program that brings students, parents, and teachers together to celebrate learning without stress. He noted that in the current era of Amrit Kaal, such initiatives not only build academic strength but also prepare the youth for a wide range of career opportunities. He added that the Guinness World Record is a testament to the public’s trust in Prime Minister Modi’s vision for student well-being.

Minister of State Jitin Prasada applauded the efforts of MyGov in making governance more participatory through technology. He remarked that the recognition from Guinness World Records highlights how digital platforms can be effectively used to enhance citizen engagement in education and beyond.

The broader vision of Pariksha Pe Charcha aligns with the objectives outlined in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which advocates for stress-free and joyful learning experiences. The initiative encourages moving away from rote learning and focuses on building critical thinking and emotional resilience among students. Through this platform, Prime Minister Modi directly addresses issues like time management, anxiety, and digital distractions, offering practical tips to students and guiding them with empathy and insight.

The widespread participation in PPC 2025 is not just a numerical achievement but a social and cultural one. It reflects a growing awareness among students, teachers, and parents about the importance of mental well-being during academic assessments. It also underscores the increasing digital penetration and inclusivity in India’s education system, enabling students from the most remote regions to connect with national thought leaders.

As Pariksha Pe Charcha continues to grow year after year, it remains a shining example of how policy, technology, and empathetic leadership can come together to revolutionize the education landscape. The success of PPC 2025 is a collective win for India, reinforcing the belief that examinations are not the end, but rather the beginning of a journey of self-discovery and lifelong learning.
