New Delhi- In a strong address ahead of the commencement of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the remarkable success of Operation Sindoor, affirming that the objectives laid out by the Indian Armed Forces were accomplished with complete precision and in record time.

Describing the session as a “festival of victory”, the Prime Minister emphasized that the nation stands at a transformative juncture—where achievements in defence, space, agriculture, and innovation are reflecting a new era of self-reliant and strategically powerful India.

Prime Minister Modi declared that Operation Sindoor not only achieved its strategic goals but also redefined the image of India’s military prowess on the global stage. The operation, carried out with speed and accuracy, resulted in the destruction of multiple terrorist hideouts in under 22 minutes.

“The target set by the Indian Army in Operation Sindoor was achieved 100%. The stronghold of the masterminds behind terrorist activities was neutralized in a matter of minutes. This is a proud reflection of India’s enhanced military capability and operational readiness,” said the Prime Minister.

He further stated that India’s success in this operation is garnering significant international attention, particularly for the ‘Made in India’ military technologies deployed during the mission.

“The world is increasingly drawn towards the new, indigenously developed weapons and defence systems being produced in India. This marks a paradigm shift in how global powers perceive India’s defence innovation,” PM Modi noted.

In a separate but equally historic achievement, the Prime Minister highlighted Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla’s pioneering role in leading the Axiom-4 mission to the International Space Station (ISS). For the first time, the Indian Tricolour was proudly hoisted in space aboard the ISS.

“The success of the Axiom-4 mission is not just a milestone in our space journey, but a moment of national pride that has inspired a new generation of scientists and innovators across the country,” he said.

PM Modi affirmed that such achievements serve as motivational milestones for the youth and pave the way for India’s leadership in scientific research, space technology, and global collaboration.

Urging all Members of Parliament to rise above party lines and join in this moment of pride, the Prime Minister called for a unified celebration of India’s national successes during the Monsoon Session.

“When the entire Parliament celebrates this festival of victory with one voice, it will not only honor the valour of our armed forces but will also promote greater national unity, boost innovation in defence manufacturing, and create avenues of employment for our youth,” he emphasized.

The Prime Minister also touched upon the nation’s progress in agriculture, linking it with economic growth and sustainability. He noted that the monsoon has so far been favorable, which bodes well for the agricultural sector and rural livelihoods.

“Monsoon symbolizes growth and new beginnings. In the last decade, India’s water reserves have increased threefold, reflecting the success of our water conservation efforts. These developments will significantly benefit our farmers and bolster the rural economy,” he said.

While the government celebrates these milestones, the Monsoon Session is also expected to witness intense discussions as the Opposition’s INDIA bloc plans to raise several pressing issues, including:

  • The Pahalgam terror attack

  • The implications of Operation Sindoor

  • The Air India Flight AI-171 crash

  • The Bihar Special Intensive Revision (SIR) program

Among the key bills expected to be introduced or passed are:

  • Lok Sabha Manipur Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2025

  • Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill, 2025

  • Indian Institutes of Management Amendment Bill, 2025

Prime Minister Modi addressed the media in the presence of senior cabinet members, including Union Ministers Kiren Rijiju, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Dr. Jitendra Singh, and L. Murugan. Their presence underscored the government’s united stance on both national security and legislative priorities.

With the dual narrative of military strength and scientific advancement, Prime Minister Modi’s remarks ahead of the Monsoon Session framed a powerful message: India is not only defending its borders with renewed strength but also reaching new frontiers in space and technology. This session of Parliament, he said, should become a platform for national consensus on pride, progress, and purpose.
