The academic event will unfold under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Badwe, Head of the Department of Shalya Tantra, AIIA, in collaboration with the National Sushruta Association, marking the 25th Annual Conference of the Association. Over 500 experts from across India and abroad — including Ayurvedic surgeons, researchers, and scholars — are expected to participate.

The inaugural ceremony on July 14 will be presided over by  Prataprao Ganpatrao Jadhav, Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Ayush. Other dignitaries expected to attend include Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush; Prof. Sanjeev Sharma, Vice Chancellor, National Institute of Ayurveda (Jaipur); and Prof. (Dr.) Tanuja Nesari, Director, ITRA (Jamnagar).

The three-day seminar promises live surgical demonstrations across two days, including:

  • Ten laparoscopic and endoscopic general surgeries on July 13
  • Sixteen live anorectal procedures on July 14, focusing on conditions like fistula, piles, and fissures

Aimed at fostering the blend of Ayurvedic principles with surgical innovations, Shalyacon 2025 is built around a strong thematic focus — Innovation, Integration, and Inspiration. The event will cover:
