Media Portfolio Exhibition” provided platform to media students to showcase their creative work

Faridabad, 27 November – The Department of Communication and Media Technology, in collaboration with the Training and Employment Cell of the University, organized “Media Portfolio Exhibition.” This event showcased the creative and experimental endeavors of final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students from the Journalism and Mass Communication program. The exhibition featured a diverse array of student work, including documentation, audio, and video projects, all of which highlighted the students’ innovative spirit and technical prowess.

Held at the Shakuntalam Hall, the exhibition attracted over 2,000 students from various educational institutions, colleges, and schools. The event was a vibrant celebration of media arts, leaving attendees in awe of the students’ talent and creativity.

The chief guest, Prof. K.G. Suresh, former Vice Chancellor of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University Bhopal, inaugurated the exhibition by lighting the lamp. In his address, Prof. Suresh lauded the event as a “Maha Kumbh” of the media sector, emphasizing its multifaceted and versatile nature. He noted that the students exhibited a high level of readiness for the media industry and commended the organizers for their efforts.

Dr. Ranjana Agarwal, Director of CSIR-NISCPR, also addressed the gathering, highlighting the exhibition’s role in bridging traditional knowledge with scientific advancements. She expressed her admiration for the students’ work, seeing in them the potential for future journalism.

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. S.K. Tomar, described the Media Portfolio Exhibition as an annual festival for students, providing a crucial platform for their future endeavors. He wholeheartedly praised the event’s organization and impact.

Dr. Pawan Singh, Chairperson of the Department of Communication and Media Technology, shared that the exhibition is an annual tradition, this year, it was guided by Dean (FLAMS) Prof. Anuradha Sharma. The final-year students presented their work in photography, videography, graphic design, and print production, drawing interest from students and professionals across Delhi NCR.
