Delhi , 12 ,Feb ,2025: ONE STOLEN SCOOTY AND ONE SNATCHED MOBILE PHONE RECOVERED.
ACCUSED IS A BC OF PS ASHOK VIHAR, DELHI & PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN MORE THAN 12 CASES OF ARMED ROBBERY, SNATCHING AND THEFT.
INTRODUCTION
A team of ARSC, Crime Branch, Delhi led by Insp. K. K. Sharma under the supervision of Sh. Arvind Kumar, ACP/ARSC has arrested a notorious criminal namely Aakash @ Mota (24 Yrs) from the area of Wazirpur Industrial area and found involved in snatching and theft cases.
INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION
Recently two robbers, Jitender @ Jeetu and Vinay @ Peta were arrested in armed robbery case of PS New Usmanpur, Delhi by the team of ARSC Crime Branch and 4 cases of robbery and snatching were worked out with recovery. Both the accused persons disclosed about their associate Aakash @ Mota, BC of PS Ashok Vihar. The information was developed manually and technically.
On 11.02.2025, a secret information was received by HC Nitin Rathi that accused Aakash @ Mota having a stolen Scooty for committing crime is coming in the area of Wazirpur Industrial Area, Delhi and could be apprehended from there.
Accordingly, a team led by Insp K.K. Sharma comprising of SI Rajkumar, Asi Shyam Singh, HCs Bhopander, Mohit Baliyan, Nitin Rathi, Deepak Nagar and Lalit Chaudhary under the supervision of Sh. Arvind Kumar, ACP/ARSC was constituted to nab the accused.
To evade his arrest, Aakash @ Mota was frequently changing his place of stay. However, on the basis of a lead, after a long chase across Burari, Mukundpur, Azadpur and Ashok Vihar area, accused Aakash @ Mota was apprehended from the area of Wazirpur Industrial area, Delhi.
Delhi Police’s newly launched App “Sahayak” was instrumental in cracking this case by swiftly verifying the details of suspects.
INTEROGATION
During investigation he was found involved in case FIR No. E-036118/24, Dated 22.11.2024, U/s 305(b) BNS, PS Bharat Nagar, Delhi and one stolen Honda Activa Scooty also recovered from him. One Mobile Phone Vivo Y-18, colour green also recovered from him which was found involved in case FIR No. 820/24, U/s 304(2) BNS, PS Nand Nagri, Delhi.
Besides these above cases, NBW has been found issued against him in case FIR No. 63/21, U/s 392/394/397/411/34 IPC and 25/27/59 Arms Act, PS Ashok Vihar, Delhi, by the Ld. Spl. Judge, NDPS/North-West/Rohini Courts, Delhi for evading appearance in Court.
On interrogation he disclosed that he used to steal/purchase two-wheeler and hand over to his associate Jitender @ Jeetu, Vinay @ Petha, Rahul and Shivam to commit crime. Who further use and provide these vehicles to other criminals.
RECOVERY
• One stolen Scooty, found stolen from PS Bharat Nagar, Delhi.
• One snatched Mobile Phone.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON
Accused Aakash @ Mota (24 Yrs) R/o Wazirpur Industrial area, SS Nagar, Delhi. He is unmarried and studied up to 7th class. Currently he is working on a tea stall. He is previously involved in 12 cases of Armed Robbery, Snatching and Theft and he is BC of PS Ashok Vihar, Delhi.
Local police have been informed for necessary action at their ends.
