Kejriwal Government Initiates Major Upgradation of Ring Road Stretch from Punjabi Bagh Roundabout to Prembari Pul

New Delhi, July 22 2024 : The Public Works Department (PWD) of the Delhi government, under the leadership of PWD Minister Atishi, has embarked on a significant initiative to enhance and fortify the 4-km-long stretch of Ring Road from Punjabi Bagh roundabout to Prembari Pul in North-West Delhi. This crucial arterial route serves as a lifeline for lakhs of commuters daily.

Minister Atishi, in approving the project, emphasized the government’s commitment to establishing a world-class, safe transportation network in the capital, adhering to international standards. She underscored the importance of strengthening the Ring Road, which interconnects various parts of Delhi and facilitates seamless daily commuting for residents.

“The upgradation of the road from Prembari Pul to Punjabi Bagh roundabout is integral to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s vision of enhancing overall connectivity and improving the commuting experience in Delhi,” stated Minister Atishi.

The decision to initiate this project follows a detailed inspection of the road surface by experts, revealing cracks and wear caused by heavy traffic. Minister Atishi directed officials to expedite the strengthening work to ensure durability and safety.

“Under Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership, the Delhi government is steadfast in its ‘mission mode’ approach to elevate the city’s road infrastructure to global standards,” Minister Atishi affirmed. She instructed officials to uphold rigorous standards of safety, security, and quality throughout the strengthening process to minimize inconvenience to commuters.

The PWD Minister reassured the public that the government remains resolute in its commitment to uninterrupted progress under Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership.
