Prime Minister Narendra Modi Wishes the Nation on Hanuman Jayanti

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday extended warm greetings to the people of India on the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. Taking to social media, the Prime Minister conveyed his heartfelt wishes, invoking the blessings of Lord Hanuman — the symbol of strength, devotion, and selfless service.

In his message, Prime Minister Modi wrote, “Best wishes to all the countrymen on Hanuman Jayanti. With the blessings of Sankatmochan Hanuman ji, may everyone always be healthy, happy, and prosperous.” The message was widely shared and appreciated by followers and devotees across various platforms.

Hanuman Jayanti, which marks the birth of Lord Hanuman, is celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm across the country. Temples dedicated to the deity witness a surge of devotees offering prayers, chanting Hanuman Chalisa, and organizing special aartis and bhajan-kirtans. In many parts of the country, processions and religious gatherings were also organized while adhering to local safety and administrative guidelines.

Known for his unwavering devotion to Lord Ram, Hanuman is revered as a symbol of power, courage, humility, and loyalty. His character in the epic Ramayana is often cited as an ideal for devotion and duty, making Hanuman Jayanti a spiritually significant day for millions of devotees.

Prime Minister Modi’s message emphasized the spiritual and cultural unity that festivals like Hanuman Jayanti bring to the nation. BJP leaders and other political figures also joined in extending greetings, while many social organizations arranged food distribution drives, cleanliness campaigns, and devotional programs in honor of the day.

Meanwhile, across states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu, special prayers and rituals were held at prominent Hanuman temples. In Varanasi, devotees were seen offering sindoor and laddoos, traditional offerings to Lord Hanuman, as priests recited verses from the Ramcharitmanas.
