The Impressive TimesDelhi University has dismissed a proposal to include Manusmriti in the LLB syllabus. Speaking to the media in New Delhi, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan clarified that there is no endorsement of any such proposal by the University’s Academic Council. He stated that he had inquired about the issue with DU Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh, who informed him that the proposal had been rejected. The Minister emphasized that the government is committed to upholding the Constitution and there is no question of including any controversial portions of any script in the curriculum.
