Nasik: The search for Nida Khan, an accused in the widening TCS Nashik case, has intensified as police and family members offer conflicting accounts about her whereabouts, adding fresh uncertainty to an already high-profile investigation.

Police say Khan is absconding and have launched a multi-pronged effort to trace her, deploying multiple teams and relying on technical surveillance to track her movements. Investigators said mobile phones linked to Khan and some of her relatives were found switched off, while officers who followed leads to a reported address found the house locked, deepening questions over her location.

Authorities said Khan’s husband has been questioned as part of the probe, while investigators continue examining possible movements, contacts and digital trails connected to the accused.

Her family, however, has strongly denied claims that she is on the run, insisting she has been staying in Mumbai with relatives and is not evading law enforcement. Family members have also questioned the narrative that she is absconding, maintaining no police team has approached them directly regarding her whereabouts.

The uncertainty has unfolded alongside Khan’s legal efforts to seek protection from arrest. Her lawyer said an anticipatory bail plea is being prepared, while investigators are also examining her claim of pregnancy, which her family says is genuine and supported by medical records.

Khan’s role has also come under scrutiny amid public attention surrounding the case. TCS has stated she did not hold any managerial or human resources role, describing her as a process associate without leadership responsibilities. The company has launched an internal review with external oversight as the controversy widens.

The broader case began with allegations linked to workplace misconduct and has since expanded, with multiple FIRs registered and investigators examining claims of harassment, coercion and possible suppression of complaints. Authorities are reviewing digital evidence, financial records, communications data and witness statements as part of the probe.

A Special Investigation Team has been formed to investigate the matter, while the unresolved question over Nida Khan’s location continues to remain a central focus of the case.
