New Delhi, March 29,2024: External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar engaged in bilateral discussions with Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba on Friday, focusing on the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict and its broader implications.
Sharing insights from the meeting, Minister Jaishankar expressed, “An open and wide-ranging conversation with Ukraine FM @DmytroKuleba this afternoon. Our discussions focused on the ongoing conflict and its wider ramifications. Exchanged views on various initiatives in that context.” He further elaborated, “Spoke as well on global and regional issues of interest to both of us. Reiterated our commitment to strengthen the overall relationship, including bilateral cooperation.”
Reflecting on the significance of the visit, Minister Jaishankar remarked, “For a month, we’ve had interactions at various levels. I’m glad to see that some of our bilateral mechanisms have also met.” He extended a warm welcome to Foreign Minister Kuleba, stating, “Your visit gives us an opportunity obviously, to understand the situation in your region and I look forward to hearing your perspectives on that.”
Foreign Minister Kuleba arrived in India on March 28 for a two-day visit, during which he is scheduled to engage in several key discussions, including meetings with the Deputy NSA to deliberate on matters concerning bilateral partnership and cooperation on regional and global issues of mutual interest. Additionally, interactions with the business community are also anticipated.
