UK PM Starmer, Netherlands PM Schoof Speak with PM Modi to Condemn Pahalgam Terror Attack

New Delhi, April 25 : Several world leaders reached out to Prime Minister Narendra Modi today to strongly condemn the Pahalgam terror attack and express their solidarity with India. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Netherlands Prime Minister Dick Schoof were among those who called PM Modi.

Earlier on Thursday, PM Modi received calls from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, King Abdullah of Jordan, Japanese PM Shigeru Ishiba, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian PM Giorgia Meloni, and Egyptian President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi, all offering their support to India following the Pahalgam terror attack.

US President Donald Trump also called PM Modi within hours of the incident, condemning the attack in which 26 lives were lost.

In response to the UK PM’s call, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson shared a post on X: “PM @Keir_Starmer of the UK spoke with PM @narendramodi, offering heartfelt condolences for the innocent lives lost in the heinous terror attack on Indian soil. He strongly condemned this barbaric attack and reaffirmed that the UK stands with India during this tragic time.”

Regarding the Netherlands’ call, the MEA spokesperson stated that PM Dick Schoof condemned the cowardly act and reiterated the Netherlands’ rejection of terrorism in all its forms: “PM Dick Schoof of the Netherlands @MinPres called PM @narendramodi to convey condolences for the tragic and inhuman cross-border terror attack in Pahalgam. He strongly condemned the act and denounced terrorism in all its forms. PM Modi thanked him for his support and emphasized that India looks forward to working closely with the Netherlands to strengthen the global fight against terrorism.”

The Netherlands PM also shared a post on X, expressing his sympathy: “I just spoke with Prime Minister @narendramodi about the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam earlier this week, extending my condolences to the victims, their families, and the people of India. The Netherlands stands with India in the fight against terrorism, both now and in the future.”
