Faridabad, March 4– The Faridabad Municipal Corporation has decided to take strict action against private safety tankers found dumping dirty water into drains or open sewers. A penalty of ₹5,000 has been set for offenders.
A meeting regarding the Cleanliness Survey was held under the leadership of Additional Commissioner Gaurav Antil. Joint Commissioner Dwija, Expert Anil Mehta, Expert Ashray, and Headquarters Officer Bishan Singh Tewatia sttended the meeting. Officials were instructed to accelerate efforts for the survey.
Kalpana Singh Mandal, IEC Expert of the Swachh Bharat Mission, stated that action will be taken against individuals polluting the city and harming the environment. She added that, under the directives of Municipal Commissioner A. Mona Srinivas, such measures have been initiated to enhance the city’s cleanliness and beauty.
To promote awareness, paintings are being created at major intersections of the city, spreading messages of cleanliness. Additionally, the Municipal Corporation of Faridabad has launched a helpline number (+91 129-2411664), allowing residents to provide cleanliness-related suggestions.
Private safety tankers will be required to dispose of wastewater at the STP in Badshahpur. Furthermore, individuals found defecating in open areas will be fined ₹200, as all community and public toilets within the Faridabad Municipal Corporation area are fully operational.
The Municipal Corporation has appealed to the citizens not to litter in public places and contribute towards keeping the city clean.
