I Will Not Tolerate Overloading in Any Circumstance; We Are Developing an Electronic Gadget to Monitor Vehicle Weight Transport Minister Anil Vij reprimanded RTA for Complaints of Overloading on 152-D Highway

Chandigarh, January 23, 2025: Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labor Minister Sh. Anil Vij has taken a strong stance against overloaded vehicles, stating that “Overloading is the root of corruption, giving rise to wealth and mansions for many. Ships are stationed in oceans due to this menace. It is the root of evil, and we will eradicate it, he added.”

Speaking to Media Persons, Sh. Vij said that overloading will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He mentioned that receiving complaints about overloading on the 152-D highway. To address this, he revealed that an electronic gadget is being developed, which will be installed on every vehicle to monitor its weight.

It is worth noting that during his return from Jaipur to Ambala, Transport Minister Anil Vij stopped at Nangal Chaudhary toll plaza, where locals raised complaints about overloaded vehicles. Acting promptly, he scolded the concerned RTA over the phone and issued strict instructions to take action against overloaded vehicles.

Sh. Vij emphasized that “I will not tolerate overloaded vehicles under any circumstances. If any overloaded vehicle is found operating in the future, strict action will be taken.” He warned officials/ officers that any negligence in this matter would result in stringent measures against them. He also urged local residents to send pictures of overloaded vehicles so that necessary action could be taken.

Expressing concern about overloading, Vij noted that it not only damages roads but also increases accidents, leading to loss of lives and property. He reiterated that the Haryana government is committed to eliminating this issue and is taking it seriously.

The Chief Minister Should Take Action Against Officials Ignoring Calls from MPs- Vij

Reacting to reports of an official not answering a call from Rajya Sabha MP Kiran Choudhary, Cabinet Minister Anil Vij remarked that the Chief Minister should take cognizance of the matter. He added that such behavior by officials is unacceptable, and they must respond to calls from public representatives and the general public.

“Only Those Who Cry, Lose in Politics”-Vij

When asked about the Aam Aadmi Party’s accusations against the Election Commission for alleged inaction in Delhi, Cabinet Minister Anil Vij said that “In my political experience, those who cry are the ones who lose. The Aam Aadmi Party is crying because they are losing.”

Responding to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s appeal to focus on the middle class in the upcoming budget, Vij commented that “Is Kejriwal contesting elections or presenting a demand letter to us? If we have to do everything, what’s his role? He might as well stay home, and we’ll handle it ourselves.”

Regarding the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand on Republic Day, Cabinet Minister Anil Vij praised the move, saying, “This is a great step. One nation, one law. The same law should apply to all people. The appeasement politics of Congress has led to adverse consequences.”
