Mumbai, May 21 , 2024 : The BSE Sensex on Tuesday fell 128 points to 73877 in the opening trade as selling was seen in Realty, Technology, and BSE Services stocks. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) declined 30.55 points to 22471.45 after registering a small gain in a special trading session on Saturday, the equity market opened on a weak note on Tuesday. The market was shut down on Monday on account of the general Lok Sabha election in Mumbai. The NSE registered days high and low at 22,509.05 and 22,404.55 points, respectively. The Sensex registered intraday highs and lows at 73,987.47 and 73,787.83 points, respectively. The mid cap slipped by 0.03 pc and the small cap by 0.20 pc. In 30 scrips, 12 advanced while 18 declined. The losers were Nestle India Ltd by 1.89 pc to Rs 2454.90, M&M by 1.28 pc to Rs 2472.15, Infosys by 0.92 pc to Rs 1430.45 and Hind Unilever by 0.88 pc to Rs 2306.90. The gainers were JSW Steel by 1.86 pc to Rs 907.55, Powergrid by 1.50 pc to Rs 321.60, Tata Steel by 1.46 pc to Rs 170.35 and NTPC by 0.96 pc to Rs 369.90.
