New Delhi : On the second day of the week-long Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign titled ‘Nasha – Not Cool’, Delhi Police adopted a sports-driven approach to combat drug abuse and promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
Recognising the role of sports in building both physical endurance and mental resilience, a series sporting events such as tug of war, volleyball, arm wrestling, running events were organised at nine Drug De-Addiction Centres, multiple schools, and JJ cluster areas across Delhi. These activities were designed to encourage positive decision-making and keep individuals away from drug abuse.
The events witnessed enthusiastic participation from thousands of individuals, who demonstrated teamwork, discipline, and commendable sportsmanship. The initiative aimed to effectively channelise the energy of young people into constructive and health-oriented pursuits.
The primary objective of these tournaments was to raise awareness about the importance of a drug-free lifestyle, using sports as a medium to inspire and engage. Such initiatives play a crucial role in motivating youth to remain focused, physically fit, and resilient.
In addition to on-ground activities, the Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign continues to be actively promoted through social media platforms, radio broadcasts, and cinema halls across Delhi, especially during the high footfall weekend period.
Delhi Police expresses its sincere gratitude to all residents for their continued support and cooperation. Citizens are encouraged to actively participate in and contribute to the success of this important initiative in the coming days.
