Jaipur, November 3, 2025 – A tragic road accident in Jaipur’s Harmada locality on Monday claimed the lives of 12 people and left several others critically injured after a dumper truck lost control and rammed into a line of vehicles near Loha Mandi.

According to District Collector Jitendra Soni, the dumper, which was reportedly empty at the time of the crash, moved uncontrollably from Road No. 14 toward a petrol pump and struck multiple vehicles over nearly 300 meters, resulting in a devastating chain collision.

Emergency teams and local police reached the scene immediately, diverted traffic, and launched rescue operations. The injured were quickly taken to nearby hospitals, including SMS Hospital’s trauma centre, for treatment.

Authorities confirmed that at least a dozen people were killed, while several others are under intensive care. Efforts are also being made to clear the wreckage and restore traffic movement along the route.

This marks the second fatal road incident in Rajasthan in two days. On Sunday, fifteen people — including women and children — lost their lives when a tempo traveller crashed into a stationary trailer truck in the Phalodi area.

Officials have launched an investigation into Monday’s collision to determine whether brake failure or driver negligence caused the tragedy.
