Faridabad, 14 November, 2023 – On the birth anniversary of late Gurnam Singh Juneja, Cabinet Minister Moolchand Sharma paid tribute to him with the inauguration of Sardar Gurnam Singh Memorial Park in front of Plot Number 244, Sector 24. The event, organized by the Juneja Foundation, witnessed the ribbon-cutting ceremony by his mother, Sardarni Mohan Kaur. During this, late Gurnam Singh Juneja’s wife, Robindar Kaur, son Ishpreet Singh Juneja, mother Sardarni Mohan Kaur, younger brother Ajay Juneja (MD of Bright Steel Private Limited), his wife Jyoti Juneja, and son Jaspreet Singh Juneja along with many other dignitaries were present. This park spread across approximately 5 acres near Sector 24 Industrial Town, the park’s beautification work was detailed to Cabinet Minister. On this occasion, Ajay Juneja expressed gratitude to the attendees, highlighting that the park is being adopted by the Juneja Foundation in memory of late Gurnam Singh Juneja. The foundation will oversee the maintenance and care of the park after its completion.
He also informed the esteemed audience that a letter was written to Faridabad Municipal Commissioner A. Mona Srinivas requesting beautification of the park, which was accepted. The foundation has already completed the construction of four walls around the park, and excavation work has commenced. Remaining tasks include planting greenery, laying pathways, installing benches, and adding a fountain. Speaking on the occasion, Cabinet Minister shared his personal connection with late Gurnam Singh Juneja, remembering him as a classmate and a dear friend. He paid homage to late Juneja, acknowledging the commendable step taken by the Juneja family to enhance the park’s beauty. Minister Sharma assured that the excavation work has begun, and the remaining tasks will be initiated soon. The inauguration ceremony was attended by H.S. Banga (MD, Victoria Auto Private Limited), Raj Bhatia (President, Faridabad Industries Association), H.L. Bhutani (President, Haryana State Productivity Council), Deepak Prasad (Secretary, Faridabad IMT Industries Association) and many industrialists and community leaders.
