AI-Reimagined Mahabharat to Premiere on WAVES OTT and Doordarshan from October 25

In a landmark collaboration, Prasar Bharati and Collective Media Network have joined hands to reintroduce India’s legendary epic, the Mahabharat, through an innovative AI-driven adaptation that bridges tradition with technology.

The new series will make its digital debut on WAVES OTT on October 25, 2025, followed by its television broadcast on Doordarshan every Sunday at 11:00 AM starting November 2, 2025. The show will be simultaneously available to viewers in India and across the globe on WAVES OTT, Prasar Bharati’s official streaming platform.

This partnership marks a first-of-its-kind creative venture — uniting the legacy of India’s public broadcaster with the technological innovation of a new-age media house. Using advanced AI-based cinematic tools, the reimagined Mahabharat rebuilds the epic’s universe — its characters, grand wars, emotions, and moral complexity — with unprecedented realism and scale. The initiative represents the spirit of ‘Make in India’ and ‘Digital India’, celebrating how heritage and innovation can evolve together.
