“We’re Good Friends”: Akshay Kumar Speaks Out on Paresh Rawal Leaving Hera Pheri 3

New Delhi : Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has finally broken his silence regarding veteran actor Paresh Rawal’s abrupt exit from the much-anticipated film Hera Pheri 3. Kumar’s comments came during a press conference for his upcoming comedy film Housefull 5, which is set to hit theatres on June 6. The multi-starrer also features Nana Patekar and other prominent actors, and its trailer launch has generated significant buzz on social media.

While promoting Housefull 5, Akshay Kumar was asked about the controversy surrounding Hera Pheri 3. A journalist brought up the online backlash and public criticism that followed Paresh Rawal’s departure from the project after reportedly filming for just one day. Some netizens had gone so far as to label Rawal’s decision as “foolish.”

Kumar, however, quickly intervened and expressed strong disapproval over the terminology used for his longtime co-star. “I don’t appreciate using words like ‘foolish’ for one of my co-stars with whom I have worked for over 30-32 years,” Kumar stated. “We are very good friends, he is a very good actor, and I really admire him. There are some matters which are serious and should not be discussed here casually. This is something the court will handle.”

Akshay’s firm yet respectful response not only deflected the controversy from the event but also underscored the camaraderie and mutual respect he shares with Paresh Rawal. The two actors have created cinematic magic in several films together, especially in the Hera Pheri franchise, which is beloved by fans for its humor and timeless dialogues.

The Hera Pheri 3 project has seen several ups and downs in recent years, including casting uncertainties and legal complications. While Akshay Kumar had initially distanced himself from the film, he later rejoined the project following fan demand. However, Paresh Rawal’s sudden exit has once again stirred speculation about the film’s future.

Despite the ongoing controversy, Kumar maintained a dignified tone, choosing not to delve into the details. “I really don’t think this is the platform to talk about legal matters,” he concluded, signaling his desire to let the process unfold appropriately.
