New Delhi, April 27, 2026: The Delhi Police continued its ongoing week long anti drug awareness drive titled Nasha Not Cool with intensified outreach activities across major youth centric locations including the North Campus and South Campus of the University of Delhi along with Connaught Place. The initiative aims to spread awareness about the dangers of drug abuse through interactive and creative public engagement methods.
On the fourth day of the campaign, police teams introduced innovative awareness installations in crowded public spaces. Specially designed cutouts were placed in visible areas, encouraging people to pick them up and discover hidden anti drug messages. The reactions of participants were recorded on the spot and are being used to further spread awareness through digital platforms.
A key highlight of the campaign is the promotion of the MANAS National Narcotics Helpline number 1933. This twenty four hour toll free service is being highlighted as a crucial support system for individuals affected by drug related issues as well as for those willing to report suspicious activities linked to narcotics.
To connect with younger audiences, the campaign also features a rap based theme song that is being showcased during Indian Premier League matches at Arun Jaitley Stadium and in cinema halls across Delhi. This multimedia approach is aimed at ensuring wider visibility and stronger emotional impact among youth.
The initiative has also received backing from several well known personalities from the film and sports world. Playback singer Kumar Sanu has recently extended his support to the campaign. Earlier endorsements came from actor Anil Kapoor, singer Kamal Khan, former hockey captain Rani Rampal, and cricketers Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan and Suresh Raina, strengthening the campaign’s public reach.
In addition, a dedicated mobile awareness vehicle equipped with audio visual tools is travelling across the city. It is screening short films and interactive content to educate citizens about the harmful effects of drug abuse. Delhi Police has urged citizens to actively participate in the initiative and contribute towards building a drug free society through collective responsibility and awareness.
