Budget a roadmap for development built with public participation : Haryana Cabinet Minister Vipul Goel

Faridabad- Haryana Cabinet Minister Vipul Goel, addressing a press conference on the budget on Tuesday, said that the 2026-27 budget presented by the Haryana government is not merely a statement of income and expenditure, but a document of public trust and a strong foundation for the future. Cabinet Minister Vipul Goel said that this budget has been prepared keeping in mind the expectations of every section and thousands of suggestions from the people of the state have been incorporated.

He said that this budget presented by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini strengthens the spirit of public participation. This is not a budget of decisions imposed on anyone, but a roadmap for development built with public participation. He informed that the Haryana government has approved the 93-kilometer-long Delhi-Panipat RRTS corridor, costing ₹32,327 crore. Additionally, the 64-kilometer-long Delhi-Faridabad-Noida-Jewar Airport RRTS corridor, costing ₹3,573 crore, has also been approved. Both projects will strengthen the state’s fast, safe, and modern regional transportation network. Faridabad, in particular, will enjoy improved and high-speed connectivity to major economic centers in the National Capital Region and Jewar Airport. Faridabad will benefit from improved road infrastructure, flyovers, and the Gurugram-Faridabad transit link. Additionally, the entire 100-kilometer road network across Faridabad city will be strengthened and given a smart upgrade.

Haryana’s economy has tripled over the past ten years, and per capita income has increased significantly. Balanced expenditure on development projects has been made while keeping the fiscal deficit under control, reflecting the state’s strong financial position.

He said that under the leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is moving towards a developed India, and under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Haryana is rapidly progressing towards becoming a developed state. Cabinet Minister Vipul Goel stated that ₹500 crore has been proposed to strengthen the infrastructure of industrial estates in Haryana. A new IMT will also be developed in Faridabad. Additionally, the minimum wage for unskilled workers in Haryana has been increased from ₹11,257 to ₹15,200.

The annual income limit for the Lado Laxmi Yojana will also be raised to ₹180,000. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 20,000 houses will be allotted this financial year, and 15,251 plots of 30 square yards are also proposed in 16 cities.

He said that a green fund of ₹100 crore has been established to increase greenery in cities. A policy will be introduced to grant ownership rights to people who have been living on municipal land for years. Urban security and traffic management will be strengthened by establishing an Integrated Command and Control Center. Waste-to-Energy plants will promote waste management and energy production.
