Union Minister lauds massive public support at oath-taking ceremony of newly appointed Chairman of Market Committee Hathin, Harjeet Dagar

Faridabad: Union Minister of State Krishan Pal Gurjar on Sunday said that farmers and traders are the backbone of the country’s economy and raising their voice remains the top priority of the government. Addressing the oath-taking ceremony of newly appointed Chairman of Market Committee Hathin, Harjeet Dagar, the minister said that Harjeet Dagar will not only work to resolve issues faced by farmers and traders but will also become their strong voice and connect them with the BJP.

Krishan Pal Gurjar said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, both the Central and Haryana governments are continuously working to increase farmers’ income, provide better facilities to traders and strengthen the market system. The huge turnout at the ceremony turned the event into a massive rally, reflecting strong public support.

The Union Minister formally administered the oath of office to Harjeet Dagar as Chairman of the Market Committee. Several dignitaries were present on the occasion, including Faridabad Zila Parishad Deputy Chairman Dharam Chaudhary, MLA Harendra, BJP leader Subhash Chaudhary, former MLA Deepak Mangla, Parveen Dagar, former minister Subhash Katyal, Hodal Municipal Council Chairman Sheeshpal, along with many other prominent leaders.

Expressing happiness over the large gathering, Krishan Pal Gurjar said that such public trust will further accelerate the pace of development. He highlighted major development works carried out in Palwal, Hodal and Hathin regions, including expansion of roads, improved electricity and water supply, better connectivity, and strengthening of education and healthcare services.

He also mentioned concrete steps taken towards modernization of mandis, ensuring fair prices for farmers’ produce and creating a trader-friendly environment.

The Union Minister said that Hathin is an agriculture-dominated region and its mandi plays a crucial role for both farmers and traders. In such a scenario, the responsibility of the Market Committee becomes even more important. He expressed confidence that under Harjeet Dagar’s leadership, the committee would raise farmers’ and traders’ issues on priority and ensure their effective resolution. On the occasion, newly appointed Chairman Harjeet Dagar said that he would work as a strong link between the people of Hathin and the government. He stated that understanding the problems of farmers and traders and resolving them in a time-bound manner would be his foremost responsibility. He assured expansion of facilities in the mandi, including cleanliness, drinking water, sheds and a transparent system to ensure that no farmer or trader faces inconvenience.

Harjeet Dagar further asserted that any kind of disorder or corruption in the mandi would not be tolerated. He assured that the committee would work with complete honesty to ensure fair prices for farmers’ produce and ease of business for traders.

Seeking cooperation from the people, he said that collective efforts would help develop Hathin mandi into an ideal market.

The ceremony was attended by local public representatives, farmers, traders and a large number of residents. At the conclusion of the programme, all present congratulated the newly appointed chairman and pledged to work together for the overall development of the region.
