DAV NTPC Faridabad Organises 100-Kundiya Havan to Promote Drug-Free India

As part of the national “No Drug Nation” campaign, students, teachers, and community members unite for awareness, rallies, and cultural programs to combat addiction.

Faridabad :DAV Public School, NTPC Faridabad, orchestrated a grand 100-Kundiya Havan and Public Awareness Program at Banjara Market, Sector 81, on December 7, 2025, as part of the national “No Drug Nation” campaign, proclaimed by Padmashree Dr. Poonam Suri, President of DAV CMC, and galvanized under the sagacious guidance of Shri Yogi Suri, National President of Arya Yuva Samaj.

This illustrious event was a testament to DAV’s unwavering commitment to education, culture, and social consciousness, echoing its glorious legacy of courage, compassion, and conviction since the freedom struggle to modern India’s socio-economic ascendancy. The simultaneous havan, performed across all DAV institutions in Faridabad at 11:00 am, disseminated a clarion call for a drug-free India, epitomizing organizational unity and societal commitment.

The program’s quintessential objective was to inspire youth to eschew the pernicious tentacles of drug addiction and adopt a healthy, sober, disciplined, and ethical lifestyle. Students fervently participated in awareness rallies, poignant slogan writing, evocative street plays, and motivational activities, thereby propagating a puissant message of de-addiction throughout society.

Chief Guest Mr. Rajesh Nagar, Honorable Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies, Government of Haryana, extolled DAV’s societal stewardship, declaring that addiction is a vice that precipitates the downfall of family and society, and affirming DAV’s dual mission of education and nation-building. Russian Member of Parliament, Mr. Abhay Singh Rana, also lauded the campaign, stating that the havan was a unique and meaningful effort that purifies society and provides a new direction.

Distinguished attendees included Councilor Mr. Sachin Sharma(Ward no. 35), Mr. P.C. Vaish, President, Rotary Club Faridabad, and other esteemed guests Mr. R.C. Chaudhary (Vice President, IWA Sector 70 Faridabad), Mrs. Meenu Singh (Principal, Government Polytechnic College), Mr. Sohanlal Phogat (President, RWA VIP Floor Sector 81), and Mr. Ravi (President, RWA Eden Sector 81) graced the event with their presence. The head of Banjara Market also attended the event and assured that they will also inspire the people of their community to stay away from this evil practice.
Mr. Arvind Kumar (SHO, BPTP), along with his team, provided full support in conducting the students’ rally in a disciplined and safe manner. The Rotary Club’s langar service and the support of Mr. Prince (Prince Chur-Chur Nan) incorporated the spirit of service into the program.
