Simplified Map Approval System to Boost Planned Urban Growth in Faridabad: MCF Commissioner Dhirendra Khadgata

He directs officials to approve building plans without delay if compliant with rules; architects’ suggestions to be incorporated for transparency and ease of service

Faridabad: Municipal Corporation Faridabad (MCF) Commissioner Dhirendra Khadgata held a crucial meeting with members of the city’s Registered Architects Association at the corporation headquarters to streamline and simplify the approval process for commercial and residential building plans within the municipal limits. Around 40 registered architects participated in the meeting and shared their suggestions on improving map approval procedures, document uploads on the online portal, technical scrutiny of drawings and timely approvals.

The consultation was aimed at ensuring that citizens face no inconvenience while seeking permissions for construction. Commissioner Khadgata said that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has issued clear directions that citizens should not be compelled to visit corporation offices repeatedly for construction-related approvals and that fast and seamless online services must be guaranteed. In line with this objective, the meeting was held to make the process more transparent, efficient and user-friendly.

The Commissioner instructed officials that if a drawing uploaded on the portal is complete and adheres to all government norms, it should be approved without delay. He made it clear that unnecessary objections and the practice of keeping files pending will not be tolerated, ensuring relief for both citizens and architects. He assured the architects that their inputs will be examined seriously and necessary reforms will be implemented shortly.

He added that stronger coordination between the corporation and architects will not only ease the building approval process but also support planned and orderly development of Faridabad. Additional Commissioner Saloni Sharma, CTP Dharampal, Senior Architect B.S. Dhillon, Haryana Chapter Chairman Vivek Lobani, Nirmal Makheja from IIA Faridabad Centre and other senior officials were also present in the meeting.
