Dr. L. Murugan Reviews Ministry of Information & Broadcasting’s Progress Under Special Campaign 5.0

The Minister of State inspected offices of the Ministry, Doordarshan, and Akashvani in New Delhi, emphasizing cleanliness, digitization, and reduction of pending work.

NEW DELHI, Oct 31 — The Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. L. Murugan, inspected and reviewed the ongoing activities under the Special Campaign 5.0 focused on Swachhta and reducing pendency across various offices of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting.

On October 30, 2025, Dr. Murugan visited the Ministry offices at Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi, where he was accompanied by Secretary, I&B,  Sanjay Jaju, and Principal Director General, Press Information Bureau, Shri Dhirendra Ojha. During his visit, the Minister inspected different sections and record rooms and issued directions to further improve cleanliness standards and streamline digitization processes to enhance efficiency.

Later the same day, Dr. Murugan also reviewed activities at Doordarshan Bhawan, Mandi House, New Delhi. He was joined by Navneet Kumar Sehgal, Chairman, Prasar Bharati, Gaurav Dwivedi, CEO, Prasar Bharati, R.K. Jena, Senior Economic Advisor and Nodal Officer, Ministry of I&B, and other senior officials. The review emphasized sustained cleanliness efforts, efficient record management, and reduction in administrative pendency.

Continuing the campaign’s momentum, on October 31, 2025, the Minister visited Akashvani Bhawan, New Delhi, to assess the progress of Swachhta and record digitization initiatives. R.K. Jena, Rajiv Jain, Director General, All India Radio, and other senior officers of Prasar Bharati were present.

Dr. Murugan appreciated the efforts undertaken by the Ministry and its media units under the Special Campaign 5.0 and urged officials to maintain a culture of cleanliness, transparency, and efficiency in all workspaces. The campaign aims to not only ensure hygienic and well-organized workplaces but also to institutionalize sustainable practices in public offices.
