This Diwali Gift a FASTag Annual Pass for Hassle-Free Travel

New Delhi , 18 October 2025- This festive season, the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways has introduced the FASTag Annual Pass, offering travelers a convenient way to enjoy uninterrupted journeys across India’s National Highways and Expressways. The pass can now be gifted to friends or family via the Rajmargyatra app, making it a perfect Diwali gift for those who love to travel.

Through the app, users can select the “Add Pass” option, enter the vehicle number and contact details of the intended recipient, and activate the annual pass with a simple OTP verification. Once activated, the pass is linked to the vehicle’s FASTag and allows seamless travel across approximately 1,150 toll plazas nationwide.

The FASTag Annual Pass offers a one-time fee option of ₹3,000, valid for one year or 200 toll plaza crossings, eliminating the need for frequent top-ups. It is available for all non-commercial vehicles with a valid FASTag and is activated within two hours of payment through the Rajmargyatra app.

Since its launch on August 15, 2025, the FASTag Annual Pass has seen rapid adoption, crossing 25 lakh users and recording over 5.67 crore transactions within just two months. The overwhelming response reflects its popularity among commuters, providing an easy, cost-effective, and stress-free travel experience on the country’s highways.

With this initiative, the government continues to simplify travel for citizens, making road journeys smoother while promoting digital payment systems across the National Highway network.
