New Delhi- Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah honoured the personnel of the CRPF, Chhattisgarh Police, District Reserve Guard (DRG) and Cobra force for their heroic role in the successful ‘Operation Black Forest’ conducted on Karreguttalu hill, Chhattisgarh.
Calling it the largest anti-Naxal operation in the region, Shah applauded the indomitable courage of the security forces who battled scorching heat, high altitude and the lurking danger of IEDs to dismantle a major Naxalite base camp and disrupt their supply chain.
“The bravery displayed by our jawans during Operation Black Forest will forever be remembered as a golden chapter in India’s fight against Naxalism,” Shah said. He congratulated the joint forces for their dedication, noting that the operation has given a new dawn of hope to over 6.5 crore people living in regions stretching from Pashupatinath to Tirupati, long impacted by Naxalite violence.
Reiterating the government’s resolve, Shah declared:
“We will not rest until every Naxalite either surrenders, is captured or eliminated. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, our mission is clear—India will be completely free from Naxalism by March 31, 2026.”
Acknowledging the sacrifices of soldiers who have suffered serious injuries in past anti-Naxal operations, Shah assured that the Modi government is committed to improving the welfare and living conditions of security personnel.
The felicitation ceremony was attended by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, reflecting the strong coordination between the Centre and State in eradicating Left Wing Extremism.
