Firing Outside YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s Gurugram Home, Himanshu Bhau Gang Claims Responsibility

Attackers fire 25–30 rounds at Yadav’s residence; gang accuses YouTuber of gambling promotion, police launch probe.

Gurugram: Panic spread in Sector 56 of Gurugram early Sunday morning after firing was reported outside the residence of YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav. Around 5:30–6 am, three unidentified assailants arrived on a bike, with two of them firing nearly a dozen rounds before fleeing the spot.

The notorious Himanshu Bhau gang later claimed responsibility in a social media post, alleging that Yadav was promoting gambling. The post carried a warning that “those who promote gambling must be ready for a call or a bullet,” along with a picture of two pistols. However, the authenticity of the post has not been independently verified.

At the time of the incident, Elvish Yadav was not at home. Police said he was outside Haryana for work. His caretaker and some family members were inside the house, but no injuries were reported. The bullets hit the ground and first floors, while Yadav’s residence is located on the second and third floors.

Yadav’s father, Ramavtar Yadav, denied knowledge of any threats or his son’s alleged involvement in gambling promotion.
“The police are here. I was sleeping when the firing occurred. Around 25–30 shots were fired. Three men were seen on the bike in CCTV footage, and two of them were spotted at the gate. Elvish never received any threat,” he told reporters.

Police teams have cordoned off the area, collected evidence, and are scanning CCTV footage from nearby localities. Officials confirmed that legal action has been initiated and further steps will follow once the family files a formal complaint.

According to police, the firing was allegedly carried out by gang members Neeraj Faridpur and Bhau Ritoliya on the instructions of Rao Inderjeet Yadav of the Himanshu Bhau gang.

The attack comes weeks after a similar incident targeting singer-rapper Rahul Yadav alias Fazilpuria, whose car was shot at in Gurugram. Though Fazilpuria escaped unhurt, his close aide Rohit Shaukeen was killed days earlier in broad daylight, with the same gang claiming responsibility.

Elvish Yadav, who commands a massive following on social media, has remained a controversial figure. Last year, he was arrested for allegedly organising a rave party where snake venom was reportedly used as a drug. The Enforcement Directorate later launched a parallel probe under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Police investigations into the latest firing are underway.
