“03 CRIMINALS ARRESTED BY ALERT PATROLLING STAFF OF PS JAHANGIR PURI”

02 button actuated knives & 01 country made pistol were recovered from their possession

In a swift and vigilant operation, the alert patrolling staff of PS Jahangir Puri arrested three desperate criminals. The accused have been identified as (1) Aftab S/o Gaffar Albi R/o Behind ITI, K-Block, Jahangir Puri, Delhi, Age- 19 years, with two previous involvements in snatching and theft; (2) Nanu S/o Murari Lal R/o Mandi Azadpur, Delhi, Age- 24 Years, with no previous criminal record; and (3) Md. Rahish @ Gabru S/o Gulam Rasul R/o Jahangir Puri, Delhi, Age- 23 years, previously involved in three cases related to robbery and Arms Act violations. During the search, two button-actuated knives were recovered from Aftab and Nanu, while one country-made pistol was recovered from Md. Rahish @ Gabru. During interrogation, all three accused disclosed that they had committed the crime with the intention of earning easy money.

 Brief Facts & Incident Details: –

Acting proactively to curb crime and criminal elements in the jurisdiction of PS Jahangir Puri, police personnel were deployed under the close supervision of Inspr. Satvinder Singh SHO/Jahangir Puri and Sh. Praveen Kumar ACP/Jahangir Puri for intensive patrolling in sensitive areas.

 1st Incident: –

On 23.07.2025, HC Bhoopesh, HC Ajay Kumar and Ct. Rajesh of PS Jahangir Puri were patrolling near Iron Bridge on the road from Bhalaswa Chowk to Mukarba Chowk Delhi, when they observed two persons behaving suspiciously. Upon approaching them, the individuals attempted to flee, but the alert staff promptly chased and successfully apprehended them. Upon enquiry, the accused persons were identified as (1) Aftab S/o Gaffar Albi R/o Behind ITI, K-Block, Jahangir Puri, Delhi, Age- 19 years, (2) Nanu S/o Murari Lal R/o Mandi Azadpur, Delhi, Age- 24 years. During their cursory search, 02 button actuated knives were recovered from their possession.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 704/2025, U/s 25/54 Arms Act was registered at PS Jahangir Puri, and investigation was initiated.

 2nd Incident: –

On 23.07.2025, HC Robin and Ct. Amit of PS Jahangir Puri were patrolling, when they observed a person behaving suspiciously. Upon approaching them, the individuals attempted to flee, but the alert staff chased and successfully apprehended him. Upon enquiry, the accused person was identified as Md. Rahish @ Gabru S/o Gulam Rasul R/o Jahangir Puri, Delhi, Age- 23 years. During his cursory search, 01 country made pistol was recovered from his possession.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 705/2025, U/s 25/54 Arms Act was registered at PS Jahangir Puri, and investigation was initiated.

During sustained interrogation, all the accused persons confessed that they were roaming in the area with the intent to commit crime and earn easy money. Upon verification, it was found that out of the three accused, one had 2 previous involvements, while the other had 3 previous involvements in cases related to snatching, theft, robbery, and violations of the Arms Act, while the third was first-time offender.

 Nanu S/o Murari Lal R/o Mandi Aazadpur, Delhi, Age- 24 Years. Previous involvement: – Nil

 Md. Rahish @ Gabru S/o Gulam Rasul R/o Jahangir Puri, Delhi, Age- 23 years. Previous involvement: – 03 cases of robbery and Arms Act violations.
