Ujjain, 12 December: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has recently inaugurated the historic Bhoomi Pujan ceremony for Freeganj railway over bridge in Ujjain. This is the most crucial milestone in the development of the state, as the ceremony was a part of the Jan Kalyan Parv initiative to construct the Rs 91.76 crore over bridge to fill up the infrastructure gap created nearly a century ago. The over bridge is likely to solve the long-standing traffic congestion problems and be an important infrastructure upgrade ahead of the Simhastha 2025 festival, which will bring millions of pilgrims to Ujjain.
During the inauguration, Chief Minister Yadav expressed his eagerness to participate in such an important event and recognized the importance of the over bridge project for the city of Ujjain. He said the project would play a significant role in accelerating state development objectives and would be sure to reach every corner of Madhya Pradesh, every family, and every household of Madhya Pradesh through government welfare schemes. The Freeganj railway over bridge would give better connectivity, improve road flow, and would create much-needed infrastructure for the influx of visitors Ujjain is going to receive at Simhastha.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Minister Yadav explained that efforts were being made continually by the state government towards bringing improvement in the state of the people. He explained that they would continue to widen the roads, construct essential bridges, and make other appropriate arrangements for smoother transport connectivity across the state. He further added that the state government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been working day and night to achieve the developmental goals in the interest of the citizens. In a post on social media platform X, CM Yadav shared his excitement about the progress of the Jan Kalyan Parv, a campaign that aims to empower various sections of society, including farmers, youth, women, and the underprivileged. The campaign, which will run until January 2025, focuses on delivering sustainable growth through infrastructure improvements and welfare schemes that have a direct impact on the community.
Another project launched is the Freeganj over bridge under the Jan Kalyan Parv initiative. It aims at solving the pressing infrastructure needs of the state in a manner that the benefits of programs designed by the government reach the grassroot level. This infrastructure boost in Ujjain will not only support the successful execution of the Simhastha festival but also turn out to be a reflection of the ongoing commitment of the state government towards the transformation of Madhya Pradesh into a more modern and developed region.
