IMD has predicted heavy rain in central and north Gujarat over the next three days

Torrential rains have recently lashed parts of South Gujarat, particularly Surat, Bharuch, and Narmada districts, with Umarpada in Surat recording approximately 10 inches of rainfall in the last two hours. Other regions such as Garudeshwar, Tikalwada, and Natrang have also experienced heavy rainfall throughout the day.

The state of Gujarat has received 29.48 percent of the total seasonal rainfall, with Saurashtra, South Gujarat, and Kutch regions recording more than 30 percent of the average seasonal rains. Looking ahead, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy to very heavy rains at isolated places in South Gujarat and heavy rains at many places in Central and North Gujarat over the next three days. Residents and authorities are advised to stay informed about weather updates and take necessary precautions to mitigate any potential impacts of the continuing rainfall.
