In Assam, the flood situation has turned critical, impacting more than 6 lakh people across 19 districts. Over the past 24 hours, one additional fatality was reported in Tinsukia, bringing the death toll to 35, with another person reported missing in Golaghat. The floods have affected 1,275 villages across 64 revenue circles, causing extensive damage to over 14,700 hectares of crop area statewide.
