Hemant Soren ups the ante post-bail: ‘BJP will be wiped out from Jharkhand in Assembly polls’

Ranchi 29 june 2024 : Former Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren on Saturday (June 29) hit out at the BJP over the Lok Sabha Election results in which the party fell short of the majority mark of its own, and said that the people of the country have taught them a lesson in the general elections. Soren said that the BJP has expertise in destroying the social fabric of India and added that the saffron party will be wiped out from the state in the upcoming Assembly elections. Addressing JMM workers at his residence, Soren said there would be a “revolt against those who plotted the conspiracy” to confine him in jail and “people of Jharkhand would not spare the BJP”. “Time has come to put the last nail in BJP’s coffin. In coming days, the BJP will be wiped out from Jharkhand,” the JMM executive president said. Soren granted bail Soren walked out of the Birsa Munda Jail on Friday after the High Court granted him bail in a money laundering case linked to alleged land scam. The court observed that he was prima facie not guilty, and there was no likelihood of the petitioner committing an offence on bail. The JMM leader was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on January 31 in connection with its investigation into the money laundering case linked to the illegal possession of 8.36 acres of land.
