Indian equestrian delivers standout dressage performance in Germany with mare Floriana

New Delhi: Indian equestrian Anush Agarwalla clinched a silver medal at the renowned CDI Hagen in Germany, marking another milestone in his rising international career.

Competing alongside his mare Floriana, Agarwalla secured a score of 70.94 per cent, finishing second in a highly competitive field that featured some of the world’s top dressage riders. The event, held in Hagen, is considered one of Europe’s most prestigious competitions on the FEI calendar.

The Indian rider impressed judges with a technically precise and artistically expressive performance. The harmony between Agarwalla and Floriana, combined with fluid execution, earned them a place on the podium.

Speaking after the event, Agarwalla said the result reflects the strong partnership he shares with his horse. He expressed satisfaction with their performance, noting that competing in Germany—where dressage holds deep cultural significance—made the achievement even more meaningful.

CDI Hagen regularly attracts elite global talent, making podium finishes particularly significant. Agarwalla’s performance highlights his growing stature in international equestrian sport and reinforces his position as one of India’s leading dressage athletes.

With this result, he is expected to gain further momentum in upcoming Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) events, strengthening India’s presence in global equestrian competitions.
